Adam Hume Kelly

Adam Hume Kelly, whose family has its origins in the mists of Irish history, was born in 1965 and educated at Allhallows. Hume Kelly has subsequently worked in town and country with varying success. Great Sects is Hume Kelly’s first book whose conception arose from the desire for a greater understanding of those with whom we share this earth and why they think and act as they do.
Hume Kelly with his ‘wife’ Mel now live below the radar in Dorset, to the maxim of “We are beyond having to put back what we have taken out. We must put back more than we have taken out” (Tom McGuane, The Longest Silence, 1999) while concentrating on a simple life of considered hedonism and country sports.
Hume Kelly is quietly Church of England with a hint of nature reverence.
