Having graduated with a deg
ree in Photography, Vicki Couchman spent six years working as a press photographer where she found her art had become an industry. Determined to remind herself of what it was she wanted to do she took a year out to travel. She met with Dan Hiscocks who was also at a stage in his career where he wanted to reassess his goals and priorities.
Nine months later Vicki sent Dan a postcard to say ‘hi’. They consequently met up and had the idea to write this book. Dan wanted to do something positive with his travel experience, as did Vicki with her photos. They immediately began to turn the dream into reality, which resulted in the creation of ‘Trail of Visions.’
Vicki is now a full time freelance professional photographer.

Trail of Visions – Route 1
So often we see things, but cannot explain their lure. With Vicki’s pictures, she captures the things we see in a way that explains. This is an intimate portrait of one person’s travels on a shoestring, through exotic and exciting lands. It helps bridge the gap that exisits between those that have seen trying to explain to those that have not what the lure of independent travel is about.
Trail of Visions – Route 2
The second stunning pictorial journal, this time covering South America.
